Job summary

SSEN Distribution, part of SSE, is seeking a Quality & Assurance Coordinator to help maintain high standards across the organisation. You will support quality assurance activities, document control, and business reporting to ensure regulatory and operational commitments are met.

Based in the UK with a 50% hybrid/onsite split across SSEN locations, this permanent full-time role offers flexible first options and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting quality assurance, governance, compliance or business improvement activities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience creating and improving processes, guidance documents or standards.
  • Good analytical skills with experience producing reports and working with performance information.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building to influence change.

Responsibilities

  • Support management and continuous improvement of business processes and quality standards.
  • Coordinate document control and maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
  • Produce and analyse management information and training statistics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.

Job description

Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Perth, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Portsmouth, or any SSEN location

Salary: £34,749 - £40,939 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The role

We're looking for a Quality & Assurance Coordinator to join our Business Assurance team within SSEN Distribution.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, maintaining high standards, and working with colleagues across a large organisation. You'll play a key role in supporting quality assurance activities, document control, business reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that help ensure we meet our regulatory and operational commitments.

You will
  • Support the management and continuous improvement of business processes, procedures and quality standards across the organisation.
  • Coordinate document control activities and maintain business documentation to ensure it remains accurate, compliant and accessible
  • Produce and analyse management information, performance measures and training statistics to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for improvement and help implement practical solutions.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by supporting quality assurance activities, sharing best practice and helping teams deliver better outcomes.
You have
