Job Description:

So, what will I be doing?

As a Quality Assurance Assistant, you'll be providing operationally proactive Quality Assurance. Monitoring real-time manufacturing product quality and technical procedures, interpreting the results, and identifying opportunities for the site to make improvements.

This role follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern 0600-1800. Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the end-to-end process on site and being able to verify process stability and performance measures.
  • Supporting investigations across the site through understanding of site processes, monitoring points, and controls. Interpreting all results against requirements, with the relevant corrective actions or escalation.
  • Capturing, recording, and identifying monitoring points in the process. Highlighting areas out of tolerance and resolving/escalating as appropriate.
  • Completing all sampling and testing as required by the site, in a safe, accurate, and diligent way.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed and processes critiqued where improvements could be made.
  • Supporting the internal audit process, as required, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicating technical information confidently.
  • Capturing trial results against procedures and gathering relevant data to facilitate development of technical product specifications.
  • Managing external laboratory systems – logging samples, sample collection for external testing, booking samples, and reviewing results.

Sounds interesting, what do I need?

The important things:

  • Food Safety knowledge
  • Good attention to detail
  • Methodical analytical approach to tasks

Even better if:

  • HACCP level 2
  • Formal Qualifications
  • Experience in the food industry in a Quality or laboratory role.
