Job summary

HealthNet Homecare is seeking a Quality Assistant to join the Quality team, supporting pharmacovigilance, quality systems and audit readiness within a homecare pharmacy environment.

You will manage PV reporting, investigations, trainings and support the PV audits and product recalls, ensuring compliance with GxP and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in NHS, Pharmacy homecare or similar pharmacy setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmacovigilance practices and reporting.
  • Understanding of GxP and Quality Management System operations.
  • Awareness of regulatory aspects in a pharmacy business.

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOPs and company policy to ensure patient safety.
  • Keep HealthNet audit-ready at all times.
  • Maintain PV QA activities and PV reporting requirements.
  • Create pharmacovigilance reports for internal/external use.
  • Manage PV group email inbox and deadlines for reports.
  • Complete follow-up PV investigations and reports.
  • Support PV training and update training records.
  • Deliver pharmacovigilance training to staff.
  • Communicate with senior management to action PV considerations.
  • Assist Quality Manager with staff training records and Radar matrix.
  • Manage product quality complaints and send samples to pharma partners.
  • Support hosting PV audits and manage product recalls.

We are currently looking for a Quality Assistant to join our Quality team.

Main Responsibilities
  • To follow and promote relevant SOPs and Company policy and procedure to ensure patient safety at all times.
  • To ensure HealthNet is audit ready at all times.
  • To support the maintenance and oversight of HealthNet’s Quality Management System and adherence to applicable aspects of Good Pharmacovigilance Practice.
  • To accurately create pharmacovigilance reports for both internal and external use and meet the company’s pharmacovigilance reporting requirements
  • To manage and maintain oversight of the pharmacovigilance group email inbox within HealthNet
  • To send reports to customers according to agreed deadlines.
  • To complete pharmacovigilance follow up investigations and reports.
  • To support training and briefing of pharmacovigilance SOPs and other controlled documents
  • To deliver pharmacovigilance training
  • To read and comply with all communications from senior managers and others to ensure necessary actions are undertaken for the pharmacy and customers.
  • Support the Quality Manager in maintenance of staff training records and Radar training matrix.
  • To manage product quality complaints including sending samples to pharmaceutical companies and tracking responses.
  • To support the hosting of PV audits
  • To support the management of a product recall
What experience and skills are we looking for?
  • Previous experience of working in NHS, Pharmacy homecare or another pharmacy setting
  • Previous knowledge or experience of pharmacovigilance
  • Knowledge of GxP and operating within a Quality Management System
  • Insight and understanding of the financial and regulatory aspects of operating a pharmacy business.
Qualifications
  • GCSE or equivalent pass in Maths and English Language.
  • High level of IT competence and be able to work confidently across the full Microsoft Office suite of applications and in other cloud based third party applications
