Qualifications

  • Erfahrung in einem ähnlichen Qualitäts- oder Lebensmittelsicherheitsbereich.
  • Gute Kenntnisse in Word und Excel sind erforderlich.

Job description

Our team in Glasgow currently has an opening for a Quality Assistant.

As a Quality Assistant, it will be your responsibility:

  1. To implement and monitor compliance of the QMS.
  2. For all day-to-day quality compliance issues and resolving any process anomalies.
  3. Investigate and co-ordinate customer complaints, including customer responses.
  4. Report and use trend data and putting improvement actions in place.
  5. Responsible for running audit system, allocating audits and ensuring they are carried out.
  6. Chair customer audits and bringing in other members of staff as necessary.
  7. Complete internal audits.
  8. Agree corrective actions after audits and communicating and/or implementing.
  9. Become the Quality Representative with respect to external auditors and customers.
  10. Perform basic analytical tasks such as appearance, pH, specific gravity and other tests.
  11. Plan and prioritize the day-to-day workload in the lab, maintain archive of samples, maintain the laboratory stock of chemicals and consumable items.
  12. Be flexible and adaptable in working in different areas within the depot if and when required.

Experience for the role:

  1. Experience in a similar role (Quality, Food Safety, or Technical).
  2. External training qualifications HACCP, food safety and internal auditing, desirable not essential.
  3. Experience or knowledge of BRC and customer audits.
  4. Experience of internal auditing, desirable not essential.
  5. Good Word and Excel skills.
  6. Ability to work to critical deadlines.
  7. Proactive approach to taking on challenging activities.
  8. Ability to track multiple projects.
  9. Be flexible and adaptable in working in different areas within the depot if and when required.
