Job summary

Qualifications

Quality and Compliance Lead (Apprenticeships)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Compliance Lead at HCRG Care Group! The role is part of The Learning Enterprise team, a government-approved apprenticeship training provider for HCRG Care Group and other organizations.

The Quality and Compliance Lead plays a key operational role in maintaining and improving quality across apprenticeship and vocational delivery. The post holder will develop and embed quality assurance systems, oversee internal quality assurance across all programme areas, and ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience from enrolment to End Point Assessment.

This is a hybrid role based at our Runcorn head office with opportunities for remote work to achieve work-life balance. Travel to services may be required as necessary.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and embed quality assurance and compliance systems across all apprenticeship programmes, ensuring compliance with ESFA funding rules, Ofsted’s Education Inspection Framework (EIF), and awarding organisation standards.
  • Conduct internal quality assurance for Leadership and Management qualifications, ensuring assessment practices are valid, reliable, and consistent.
  • Line manage quality and compliance staff, providing coaching, performance monitoring, and support to ensure high-quality outcomes for learners.

The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
  • Recognised IQA qualification (e.g., V1, IQA Award, or equivalent)
  • Assessor qualification: A1, TAQA, CAVA, D32/D33
  • Recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., AET, PTLLS)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Lead IQA or quality role within work-based learning or apprenticeships
  • Experience in IQA for Leadership and Management and Business Support standards
  • Line management experience
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted EIF, apprenticeship standards, and EPA requirements
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and prevent in vocational settings
  • Experience developing and delivering CPD and training for assessors and tutors
  • Proficiency with digital systems like BUD, BKSB, Cognassist
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and feedback skills
  • Willingness to work as DSO or deputy DSO (training provided)
Desirable:
  • Experience in FE, training, or apprenticeship environments
  • Experience with Healthcare apprenticeships
  • Supporting ALS, neurodiversity, or tailored learning
  • Participation in Ofsted inspections or EQA audits
  • Safeguarding Level 3, Prevent Lead training
  • Experience as a safeguarding lead or deputy
  • Mental Health First Aider or Neurodiversity Champion
