Job description

About The Role

We’re looking for a Quality Advisor to join our Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) team, supporting a high‑profile infrastructure project at Tees Dock as part of Net Zero Teesside (NZT)—one of the UK’s most ambitious decarbonisation initiatives.

If you’re passionate about quality, thrive in a project environment, and want to contribute to a net‑zero future, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

At the heart of our culture are five simple values:

  • Talk Positively.
  • Collaborate Relentlessly.
  • Encourage Constantly.
  • Make a Difference.
  • Value Everyone.
What you’ll be doing

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key role in embedding a Right First Time culture across our T&D operations on this major infrastructure project. You will support delivery teams by coordinating assurance activities, ensuring quality management processes are applied effectively, and driving continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

  • Supporting project teams in developing and implementing Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Ensuring quality requirements are met across the supply chain and delivery partners
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality KPIs for the project
  • Implementing quality control and assurance processes to ensure works meet design and specification
  • Advising teams on digital quality and governance systems
  • Conducting internal audits and supporting external certification audits
  • Supporting the handover of quality documentation and deliverables
  • Delivering quality training and development across project teams
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and sharing best practice
  • Supporting investigations into high‑risk quality issues and implementing corrective actions
Who we’re looking for

You’re a collaborative and detail‑driven quality professional with experience in infrastructure, power, or construction environments. You’re confident working with stakeholders and influencing teams to deliver high standards.

  • Experience in Quality Management within construction, energy, or infrastructure projects
  • A Level 4+ qualification in Quality, Construction, or Manufacturing
  • CQI membership (ACQI or above) or working towards
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve quality challenges
  • Understanding of change and continuous improvement methodologies
Why work for us

Day in, day out, our teams deliver some of the UK’s most ambitious, exciting and meaningful projects; developing, building and maintaining the vital infrastructure that supports national economies and strengthens communities.

Benefits
  • Smart working, giving you more flexibility such as staggered start and finish times, with up to 40 % remote working, where roles allow.
  • 25 days paid annual leave (pro rata)
  • Family friendly policies which include 28 weeks full pay for maternity/adoption leave and four weeks full pay for paternity/partner’s leave
  • Pension, share incentive plan, volunteering leave, recognition schemes and much more…
