Job summary

Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution is seeking a Quality Advisor to support critical energy infrastructure projects across the UK, promoting quality assurance and continual improvement throughout the lifecycle.

You'll work with project leadership, engineers and supply chain partners to implement Quality Plans, review documentation, monitor performance and assist with audits, ensuring Right First Time delivery across major substation and transmission projects.

Qualifications

• Previous Quality experience or relevant operational/technical experience.
• Level 4 qualification (or above) in Quality, Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline, or PCQI qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 terminology and quality management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• CQI Practitioner status, or working towards Practitioner level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and assurance activities.
• Review quality documentation and submissions from supply chain partners.
• Monitor quality performance, deliverables and issue resolution through digital assurance systems.
• Assist with project handover documentation in line with customer requirements.

About the role

Power Transmission & Distribution | Norwich Substation, BTNO & Major UK Energy Projects

Balfour Beatty Power Transmission & Distribution is seeking a Quality Advisor to support the delivery of critical energy infrastructure projects across the UK. Working across a diverse portfolio that includes major substation developments, BTNO schemes, cable installation projects and transmission network upgrades, you'll play a key role in ensuring quality standards, compliance requirements and customer expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

As a Quality Advisor, you'll work closely with project leadership teams, engineers, construction teams and supply chain partners to promote a culture of quality, assurance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

Who we're looking for

We're interested in candidates who have quality, engineering, construction or operational experience gained within infrastructure, utilities, energy, manufacturing or other regulated industries.

Essential:

• Previous Quality experience or relevant operational/technical experience.
• Level 4 qualification (or above) in Quality, Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline, or PCQI qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 terminology and quality management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

• Experience delivering quality assurance within construction, utilities, power transmission or major infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of sector-specific certifications and quality standards.
