Job summary

Reflect Recruitment Group is helping a well-established, independent garage in Grantham find a qualified Vehicle Mechanic. The role involves diagnosing faults, servicing and repairing a range of vehicles, with a focus on mechanical, electrical and computerised systems.

Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm, you will join a close-knit team that values quality and customer service. A full driving licence and a recognised qualification are required, with 25+ insurance eligibility and immediate

Qualifications

• A recognised vehicle mechanic qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• A thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical and computerised vehicle systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity and time-management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• A full, clean driving licence.
• To be over 25 years old for insurance purposes.
• F-Gas training would be an advantage, but it's not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing, investigating and repairing a wide range of vehicle faults.
• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
• Working with engine, electrical and computerised vehicle systems.
• Using your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately, efficiently and with excellent attention to detail.
• Working both independently and collaboratively to keep the workshop running smoothly.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and, where required, customers to explain technical issues clearly.
