Job summary

North Ridge High School is seeking an inspiring SEN teacher to uphold high teaching standards for pupils with special educational needs, with at least two years' experience. You will champion the needs and attendance of SEN pupils, lead colleagues to remove barriers, and follow the updated attendance strategy to ensure every pupil accesses an education.

Responsibilities

You will demonstrate excellent standards in teaching and learning, having worked with SEN pupils for at least 2 years. Have a clear understanding of the needs of SEN pupils and the importance of their attendance. You will be enthusiastic, visionary and solution focused to overcome barriers to pupil attendance and lead other staff in school to raise pupil attendance. You will be an excellent role model to colleagues across the school and demonstrate strong attendance and punctuality.

You will become confident in following the newly updated “working together to improve school attendance” strategy to ensure that all stakeholders are accountable for pupil attendance, ensuring pupils access their right to an education.
