Qualified Social Worker - Duty and Assessment

Location: Lancashire

Pay rate: £39 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated Duty and Assessment Team in Lancashire. This role offers the opportunity to uphold and champion best practices in social care, supported by an experienced team manager. In this role, you will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, supporting the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.

You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes for children and their families, ensuring their well-being and safety. Your passion for supporting vulnerable children and families will drive your work, with a focus on protection, efficiency, and excellent outcomes.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree; creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
  • Experience working in a Social Services Directorate or statutory/voluntary agency
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement and providing the best outcomes
  • Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
  • Experience working with diverse client groups within an agency
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Committed to high-quality service delivery
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation
  • 4+ years qualified experience
