Job summary

Qualifications

Oxfordshire County Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join its Adult Social Care Team based in Banbury. The team operates a flexible hybrid working model, combining office-based work, home working and essential face-to-face visits within the community.

Your new role

As a Social Worker within the Adult Social Care Team, you will manage a varied caseload and work collaboratively with individuals, families, carers and partner agencies to deliver high-quality social work interventions. Key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking strengths-based assessments, reviews and support planning.
• Completing face-to-face visits within the community.
• Managing and prioritising a diverse caseload effectively.
• Carrying out safeguarding enquiries and promoting safeguarding principles.
• Working in partnership with health professionals and other agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Supporting adults to maximise independence and wellbeing.
• Maintaining accurate, timely and defensible case records.
• Working within relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Social Work England Registration.
• A recognised Social Work qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years' post-qualified Social Work experience.
• Experience working within Adult Social Care.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Experience undertaking assessments, reviews and safeguarding work.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
