Job summary

mbi Medical Ltd is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Corporate Directorate in Adult Social Care. You will deliver statutory social work services to adults with health and social care needs, carrying out high-quality needs assessments, care planning, interventions and reviews.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and partner organisations, act within the Professional Capabilities Framework, maintain professional standards with HCPC, and promote independence,

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of social policy and practice; work within Government and department timescales and safeguards, placing the welfare of the adult first.
• Promote self-learning and professional development; participate in supervision, appraisal, and HCPC requirements.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and partner organisations to meet the needs of vulnerable adults and their carers.
• Ensure the views and wishes of individuals and carers are central to all decisions.
• Act to protect adults needing support within legal requirements and safeguarding policies.
• Promote independence, prevention, re-ablement and self-determination; communicate effectively with families, carers and agencies.
• Work within the Council’s budgetary framework and understand Local Authority funding streams.
