Qualified Social Worker

Location: South East

Pay rate: £38 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to work in the Localities Team based in the South East. In this role, you will be committed to providing an effective, child-centred service to children in need of support and protection. You will contribute to service strategies, policies, and procedures as required.

We are looking for someone to lead on the housing and support needs of vulnerable young people by collaborating with Council professionals and delivery partners to commission effective support systems for young people's successful journey to independence.

This team works directly with children and their families and partners with agencies including the police and health services to ensure the best outcomes with sustainable positive change. The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support for children and families when social care intervention is no longer needed.

Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, and guided by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Leveraging your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions regarding appropriate interventions. Using your significant social work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet their needs.

You will be dedicated to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes from your interventions. Applying best practices, you will strive to provide the best outcomes for children. Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Perfect candidate will be:
  • Registered with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker
  • Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
  • Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
  • Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues
  • Committed to continuous improvement for the best outcomes for children
  • Able to use excellent mediation and negotiation skills
  • Skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Dedicated to providing high-quality services
  • Experienced in working within multi-disciplinary, interagency teams
  • Having 4+ years of qualification experience
In this role, you will:
