We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Children in Care Team. You will be supported by an experienced team manager. Our client has a strong and positive culture in this local authority, which we would love you to be a part of. This local authority offers regular monthly supervision and group reflective supervision.
The Children in Care team works with children of all ages in care, managing caseloads and progressing care plans. Responsibilities include finding adoptive placements, supporting long-term fostering, working with complex young people in residential care, and assisting children returning home to family. Excellent skills in direct work with children and young people, along with a commitment to permanence planning, are essential. We aim to promote good health, educational achievement, and positive relationships to secure a successful future for these children. The team comprises a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, and Social Workers. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds to enhance our workforce and promote positive outcomes.
As part of this local authority’s Family Assessment and Support Team, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening early to provide support. Your role involves direct assessments, collaboration with agencies like police and health, and ensuring sustainable positive change. Following social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services.
