The Role

As a Qualified SEN Tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons in Maths, English, or Science , adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of each student. You will work closely with children who have SEN , offering both academic support and a nurturing approach to help them build confidence and thrive in their learning journey.

This role is highly flexible, allowing you to work part-time hours that fit your schedule, whether mornings, afternoons, or evenings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one tutoring in Maths, English, or Science , customised to each student’s learning needs and abilities.
• Develop creative and engaging lesson plans to address specific educational goals.
• Support students with SEN , using a compassionate and adaptable teaching approach.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to parents or guardians.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to boost student confidence.

Requirements

• PGCE in Maths, English, or Science or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) (essential).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children with SEN .
• At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in your subject area.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and families.
