Role:

Picture this - a classic Canterbury building company, started by a local chippy almost 40 years ago and still in the family today, employing a small team of six chippies who love hunting, fishing, four-wheel driving, and building award-winning architectural homes.

Over the last four decades, this team have built strong relationships with architects, sub-trades and of course their valued customers, collecting numerous awards along the way for their work. Not only do they have an impressive portfolio of projects under their belt, they have a culture that isn't often found in the city - a no nonsense, do it once do it right, rural attitude. As one of the few residential building companies to be under the pump in 2025, the proof is in the pudding - these guys definitely know how to run a good cutter.

Thanks to their hard graft and great reputation around town, they've got a huge pipeline of work ahead of them, and they're now on the hunt for another skilled, passionate chippy to join the team. The bulk of their work is new build architectural and passive homes in some of the most sought after suburbs in Christchurch, so high end finishing skills and a keen eye for detail are very important. You'll be expected to get your hands dirty too though - they box their own foundations, occasionally tackle a renovation or two, and might even throw the odd pole shed into the mix - so you'll need to be happy giving anything a crack.
