TeacherActive is seeking a passionate Nursery Practitioner for a long-term or permanent role in a nursery in Bishops Stortford. You will work across rooms to support children at different stages of development, gaining varied experience before settling into a defined room long-term.

Responsibilities include supporting learning, development and wellbeing under EYFS, planning engaging activities and maintaining a safe environment, while following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
• Experience in a nursery setting is beneficial but not essential.
• Positive attitude and genuine interest in working with children.

Nursery Practitioner - Bishops Stortford

Pay: £16.05 per hour | Long-Term / Permanent Opportunity

TeacherActive is looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery setting in Bishops Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a long-term or permanent position within early years, with the chance to gain experience across different rooms before being allocated a room to work in longer term.

THE ROLE

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will initially work across all rooms within the nursery, supporting children at different stages of their early years development. This will give you the opportunity to build relationships with children and staff, gain experience across different age groups and become familiar with the setting before being allocated a room for the longer term.

Supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing in line with the EYFS framework.

Planning and supporting fun, engaging and age-appropriate activities.

Creating a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children.

Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.

Working closely with colleagues to provide high-quality childcare.

Following safeguarding procedures and nursery policies at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for this position, you must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.

Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is beneficial, particularly if you have experience supporting children across different age groups. However, extensive experience is not essential. If you have the relevant qualification, a positive attitude and a genuine interest in working with children, we would be happy to hear from you.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, caring and keen to develop their skills within a nursery environment.
