Job summary

Orion Building Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Plumbing Engineer to join our growing team in a varied maintenance role across client sites. You will handle day-to-day plumbing maintenance, repairs and minor installations, supporting wider building tasks as required.

The ideal candidate is a qualified plumber with at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, or equivalent recognised plumbing qualification.
• Previous experience as Plumbing Engineer or Maintenance Plumber.
• At least 2 years of relevant practical experience.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on heating and hot-water systems.
• Good IT skills and confidence using PDA/compliance reporting systems.
• Positive and professional approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs.
• Repair and replace taps, showers, TMVs, ball valves, gate valves and stopcocks.
• Maintain heating and hot water systems.
• Check and replace valves, pumps, TRVs and radiators.
• Maintain and replace shower valves.
• Install and replace hot and cold-water pipework.
• Repair leaks and carry out system drain-downs and refills.
• Work on cold-water storage tanks and hot-water cylinders.
• Complete routine and reactive maintenance.
• Make recommendations for further works.
• Work closely with other engineers and the wider team.

The role

This is a varied plumbing maintenance role working across a range of client sites.

You will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day plumbing maintenance, repairs and minor installation works, as well as supporting wider building maintenance tasks where required.

Day to day, you will:

• Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs
• Repair and replace taps, showers, TMVs, ball valves, gate valves and stopcocks
• Maintain heating and hot water systems
• Check and replace 2-port and 3-port valves, mixing valves, pumps, TRVs and radiators
• Maintain and replace shower valves
• Install and replace hot and cold-water pipework
• Repair leaks and carry out system drain-downs and refills
• Work on cold-water storage tanks and hot-water cylinders
• Complete routine and reactive maintenance
• Make recommendations where further works are required
• Work closely with other engineers and the wider team

What we're looking for

Youmust be a qualified plumberwith good practical knowledge and a strong maintenance background.

Essential requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, or equivalent recognised plumbing qualification
• Previous experience working as a Plumbing Engineer or Maintenance Plumber

The following would be an advantage but are not essential:

• G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification
• Water hygiene plumbing experience
