Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioners for flexible daily supply across Southwark and surrounding areas of South East London. Start ASAP.

You will support children aged 0-5 in nurseries, follow the EYFS framework, and enjoy a varied schedule with ongoing support from our dedicated consultants.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent qualification (essential).
• Previous experience in a nursery or EYFS setting is preferred.
• Good understanding of EYFS framework and child development.
• Caring, patient and positive approach to working with young children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A flexible and reliable approach to working across different nursery settings.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Assisting with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play.
• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical and communication development.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating nursery environment.
• Following the EYFS framework.
• Working closely with nursery staff to provide high-quality care and education.

Location: Southwark & Surrounding South East London
Pay: 14- 15 per hour

Veritas Education is recruiting enthusiastic, reliable and passionate Level 2 and Level 3 Childcare and Early Years Practitioners to work across a range of welcoming and supportive nurseries in Southwark and surrounding areas of South East London.

Whether you're looking for full-time supply work, a few days each week, or the flexibility to choose when you work, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work with children aged 0-5 years, helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children's learning and development through engaging, play-based activities
• Assisting with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play
• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical and communication development
• Helping to maintain a safe, clean and stimulating nursery environment
• Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Working closely with nursery staff to provide high-quality care and education

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or an equivalent qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working within a nursery or EYFS setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
• A caring, patient and positive approach to working with young children
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A flexible and reliable approach to working across different nursery settings
