Job summary

Monkey Puzzle Loughton is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner (Level 3 or above) to join our team. This role involves delivering high standards of care and education, implementing the EYFS, and safeguarding children.

You will ensure a safe, engaging learning environment, and work closely with parents and colleagues to support each child’s development. A Level 3 qualification and relevant safeguarding training are preferred.

Qualifications

• GCSEs 5-9 / A-C or equivalent required.
• Level 3+ Nursery Practitioner qualification desirable.
• Safeguarding knowledge and training essential.
• Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene Level 2 beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursery to grow and maintain high standards of care and education.
• Create inspiring learning environments aligned with children’s needs and EYFS guidelines.
• Ensure child safety and welfare with safeguarding processes.
• Implement EYFS with strong knowledge of child development.
• Report concerns to senior staff or relevant services.
• Collaborate with parents and partners to support children’s development.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming attitude with children and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the nursery to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to.
• Create inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery.
• Ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
• Implement the EYFS with a good understanding of child development.
• Report any issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services.
• Work in partnership with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive.
• Show a positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery.

Essentials
