Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-school in Royston is seeking a Level 2 Early Years qualified nursery practitioner to take on a flexible 15 hours per week Lunchtime Cover Assistant role. You will support learning and development in line with EYFS, provide exceptional care, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment while colleagues take their lunch break.

• Take the flexible 15 hours per week role of Lunchtime Cover Assistant, supporting children during lunch and play.
• Help ensure activities align with the EYFS and promote learning and development.
• Provide exceptional care with a safe, inclusive environment and build partnerships with families.
• Step in to cover staff lunches and maintain continuity of care for the children.

About the Role

Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-schoolis seeking a Level 2 Early Years qualified nursery practitioner to take on the flexible 15hours per weekrole of Lunchtime Cover Assistant. You will work towardsensuring children engage in stimulating activities that support their learning and development in line with the EYFS. You will provide exceptional care and compassion towards the children, maintain asafe and inclusive environment, and build strong partnerships with childcare colleagues and families. You'll play a key role in supporting our nursery team, stepping in to provide cover while our staff enjoy their well-deserved lunch break. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys the bustling energy of a nursery setting and thrives in a supportive role.

Our forest school, Nature Rangers, was shortlisted for Outdoor Learning Environment of the Year at the 2024, National NMT Nursery Awards. Pre-school children enjoy free-flow access to this incredible outdoor space which covers all seven areas of the EYFS. You will work towards ensuring children engage in stimulating activities that support their learning and development in line with the EYFS. You will provide exceptional care and compassion towards the children, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and build strong partnerships with childcare colleagues and families. We operate across two sites with dedicated environments for each age group and parking at both locations.
