The Lodge Day Nursery in Ipswich is looking for a committed nursery practitioner to join a team delivering high‑quality early years care and learning. You will work with qualified staff to support children aged 3 months to 5 years, following the EYFS framework.

The role involves planning activities, safeguarding children, maintaining records, and collaborating with parents. A current childcare qualification (NVQ level 2/3) and Paediatric First Aid are desirable, along with DBS clearance and

• NVQ Level 2/3 childcare or working towards this.
• Paediatric First Aid certificate.
• Knowledge of pupil welfare issues and safeguarding.
• Satisfactory DBS check and commitment to safety.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the Room Leader and staff to provide a safe, caring learning environment.
• Support physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of children.
• Plan and set up activities in line with nursery themes and EYFS.
• Lead/participate in age-appropriate activities and supervise groups.
• Maintain resources, record child development and share with parents.
• Promote self-care, independence and positive behaviour in children.
• Attend meetings and liaise with senior staff on safeguarding and concerns.
