IPSWICH SCHOOL invites applications for a Nursery Assistant role within our Pre School and Early Years settings. You will support learning activities, promote safety, and help children feel secure while exploring and developing new skills.

You'll work closely with the Room Leader and Deputy, plan activities, maintain records of progress where appropriate, and assist in keeping our nursery environment welcoming and inclusive for all children.

Responsabilidades

• Work with the Room Leader and staff to provide a stimulating, safe, caring learning environment.
• Promote the physical, emotional, intellectual and social development of the children in the nursery.
• Plan, prepare and set out activities related to nursery themes in cooperation with the room team.
• Initiate, facilitate and evaluate age-appropriate activity programs for groups or individuals.
• Ensure materials and resources are available for activities and tidy up after sessions.
• Share information about children's development with parents and professionals as needed.
• Encourage self-care, independence, and good behavioural standards in children.
• Advise senior staff of concerns regarding children, equipment, or health and safety.
• Maintain resources for activities in the nursery and participate in any required duties.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and school information.
• Attend meetings and talk to parents as required.
• Assist with occasional duties such as snack preparation and cleaning of equipment.
• Be flexible and ready to help in different nursery tasks as needed.
• Look upon the nursery as a whole and monitor cultural and developmental needs of children.
• Work with parents/carers of special needs children for full integration.
• Ensure each child is collected by someone known to the nursery.
