The Qualified Food Technology Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in food technology to students. This includes developing curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will also be expected to create a positive learning environment and effectively manage classroom dynamics.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Degree in Food Technology or related field - Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology - Experience teaching food technology at secondary level
A degree in Food Technology or a related field is required. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Previous experience teaching food technology at the secondary level is required.
- Thorough understanding of food technology principles and practises - Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students - Strong classroom management skills - Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- Postgraduate qualification in Education - Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
The Qualified Food Technology Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. The role may require additional hours for lesson planning and grading outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
