A nursery where your ideas have room to grow...
Do you love working with young children and want to work somewhere that encourages your creativity, values your ideas and supports you to develop? We are working with a well-established, Reggio-inspired nursery in Chippenham to recruit Level 2 and Level 3 qualified Early Years Educators.
This nursery offers something a little different: an imaginative environment where children's interests are taken seriously and educators have the freedom to contribute their own ideas. Children's interests help shape the day. An unexpected question might become a shared investigation, an afternoon outdoors might inspire a creative project, and an idea that captures children's imaginations can be explored over several days. The environment is designed to make this possible, with studios, authentic materials and carefully considered spaces that encourage discovery. Children explore beyond a single room, while mixed-age key family groups provide a strong foundation of relationships and belonging. As a practitioner you role is to observe, listen, offer ideas and support children to become confident, curious and increasingly independent.
Try it out before you commit...
You will join this nursery through a temp-to-perm employment route, giving you the chance to experience the nursery, get to know the team and see whether it's the right fit before progressing to become a permanent member of staff. You'll work alongside experienced practitioners, leaders and artists who care deeply about children's experiences and welcome contributions from colleagues.
You don't need to already be an expert in Reggio-inspired practice. A willingness to learn, reflect, contribute and try something different is just as important.
A four-day working week: 8am - 6pm, with a one-hour lunch break each day.
Paediatric first aid training: Provided by the nursery within three months of starting your role.
Investment in your development: Ongoing mentoring, specialist training and opportunities to visit inspiring settings, including the chance to apply for a seven-day professional study tour to Reggio Emilia, Italy.
A generous benefits package: Five weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays, pension, childcare discount, wellbeing support and paid company events.
Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
Vetting: Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview.
We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as they are currently under-represented at this level
