Job summary

ABC Studio Childcare in Greater London is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to deliver engaging EYFS-based activities for children from walking age to five years, promoting development in a safe, nurturing setting.

You will observe progress, record records, build strong relationships with families, support wellbeing and independence, and ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are followed. CPD and teamwork are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 EYQ or QTS required.
• Strong EYFS knowledge and understanding.
• Experience in early years settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and nurturing approach.
• Enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to support children's learning, development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate activities following the EYFS.
• Observe, assess and record children's progress using the nursery's systems.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children and families.
• Promote children's independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.
• Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety, and nursery policies are followed.
• Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of education and care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the learning environment.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions and CPD activities as required.

Requirements

• Level 2, 3 Early Years Qualification or QTS.
• Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
• Experience in early years settings (preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach.
• Enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references.
• Right to work in the UK.
