Job summary

Bright Horizons Portswood is seeking a flexible Practicioner to join the Bright Flex / Bank team at Portswood Day Nursery. You will support delivery of the EYFS with engaging activities, helping children reach key milestones, while contributing to daily tasks such as room tidying and preparation.

We welcome applicants with a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification and experience with children, and a passion for making learning fun.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Support colleagues with the delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities.
• Encourage development towards key milestones.
• Work as part of a larger team to complete essential day-to-day tasks such as room tidying and preparation.

Salary – £13.50 - £15.88 per hour (dependant on qualification/s and experience)
