Job summary

Bright Horizons Shoreham by Sea Day Nursery and Pre School is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner to support EYFS delivery and collaborate with a team to provide engaging, educational activities for children. The role offers the benefits of Bright Flex/bank shifts and employee perks.

You will join a supportive environment, work towards key learning milestones, and help maintain high standards of care. Relevant Level 3 qualification and safeguarding knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above Early Years qualification is required.
• Experience with children in a nursery or related setting is preferred.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
• Flexibility and adaptability to a bank/agency schedule.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Shoreham by Sea Day Nursery and Pre School

Salary – Starting from £13.50 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner with a Level 3 to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Shoreham by Sea Nursery, just 10 minutes from the local train station.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds! Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
