Job summary

Bright Horizons Milton Park Day Nursery in Abingdon is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner to join our Bright Flex/Bank team on a full-time, permanent basis. The setting is Ofsted Good, with spacious rooms, a large garden, and easy transport links.

You will support EYFS delivery through engaging activities and help with daily tasks such as room tidying and preparation, while benefiting from our childcare discounts and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working with children in nursery settings.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the EYFS through engaging, educational activities.

Salary – Starting from £13.70-£14.24 per hour (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Milton Park Day Nursery on a full time, permanent basis. Our Bright Horizons Milton Park Day Nursery and Preschool is Ofsted rated 'Good' , has good transport links, and onsite parking.

The nursery has 148 places and is purpose built, so boasts spacious rooms and has a large garden area with climbing equipment, cycling space, sensory stations and a dedicated baby garden which the children use is all weathers!

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 2 or 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
