A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a Qualified Dental Nurse to join their Public Dental Service. This part-time role involves supporting dental professionals in modern surgeries, ensuring high standards of patient care. Candidates must be registered with the General Dental Council and possess relevant experience in NHS dentistry. The position is based in Lerwick or Brae, with potential coverage in other locations.

Substantive
Part Time – 14.55 hours per week
Band 4 - Salary Range £29,116 – £31,670 per annum (pro rata)
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £2,380 per annum (pro rata)
We currently have an opportunity for a Qualified Dental Nurse to join the Public Dental Service, working in modern and well equipped surgeries. Working with friendly and supportive colleagues, you will also carry out chair-side duties with Dentists, Therapists and Hygienists. Based in Lerwick or Brae, there may also be opportunity to provide cover in other locations, and on occasions to work in Consultant led clinics in the hospital setting.
We are looking for a qualified Dental Nurse who is registered with the General Dental Council, experienced in NHS dentistry and who has an up to date CPD portfolio. You will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to work, good communication and team working skills and the ability to work and remain calm under pressure.
