Job summary

Plus Staff Recruitment is seeking an Afterschool Club Playworker for a primary school in East Dulwich. The role runs 3.00pm–6.00pm, term-time, with a permanent, part-time contract.

You will support Reception-aged children through play, nurture development, and ensure a safe, engaging environment after school.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 in Playwork, Paediatric First Aid, and have childcare experience with safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted familiarity.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Playwork is required.
• Experience working with children in childcare settings.
• Paediatric First Aid qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support daily running of wraparound provision.
• Lead or assist with structured play, activities and games.
• Ensure children are safe, happy and engaged.
• Assist with breakfast and snack routines.
• Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Carry out health and safety checks and maintain hygiene.
