Slice Solutions in Worksop is seeking a Qualified Accountant to manage a varied client portfolio and deliver high-quality personal and corporate tax work. You will build strong client relationships, advise on tax matters, and prepare statutory and management accounts in a collaborative, office-based environment.

Qualifications

• A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent) with solid practice experience.
• Confident managing your own client portfolio from start to finish.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing your own varied portfolio of clients across sectors.
• Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax computations and returns.
• Providing clients with clear, timely advice on tax matters.
• Preparing statutory and management accounts to a high standard.
• Building lasting client relationships through regular contact and meetings.
• Liaising with HMRC and other bodies on behalf of clients.
• Using accounting software like TaxCalc, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Word and Excel.

Are you a qualified accountant looking for your next step with a firm that genuinely values its people and its clients? We're looking for someone who loves building relationships as much as they love getting the numbers right.

Location: Worksop (office based) | Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, 5 days | Contract: Full-time, permanent | Reports to: Practice Owner | Salary: £45,000

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing and developing your own varied portfolio of clients across the industrial, transport and farming sectors
• Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax computations and returns
• Giving clients clear, timely advice on personal and corporate tax matters
• Preparing statutory and management accounts to a high standard
• Building strong, lasting client relationships through regular contact and meetings
• Getting hands‑on with TaxCalc, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Word and Excel
• Liaising with HMRC and other bodies on behalf of clients
• Staying sharp on the latest tax legislation, accounting standards and best practice
• Working as part of a team — no formal line management required
