Job summary

Slice Solutions in Worksop is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join our thriving accountancy practice. You will manage a varied portfolio of clients across sectors, prepare tax computations, and provide timely advice on personal and corporate tax, while ensuring statutory and management accounts are produced to a high standard.

You’ll use modern software (TaxCalc, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Excel) and build lasting client relationships, reporting to the Practice Owner.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent.
• Experience managing client portfolios end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax.
• Comfort with modern accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing your own varied portfolio of clients across the industrial, transport and farming sectors
• Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax computations and returns
• Giving clients clear, timely advice on personal and corporate tax matters
• Preparing statutory and management accounts to a high standard
• Building strong, lasting client relationships through regular contact and meetings
• Getting hands-on with TaxCalc, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Word and Excel
• Liaising with HMRC and other bodies on behalf of clients
• Staying sharp on the latest tax legislation, accounting standards and best practice
• Working as part of a team no formal line management required

Location: Worksop (office based) Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, 5 days Contract: Full-time, permanent Reports to: Practice Owner Salary: £45,000

What You’ll Be Doing
