Job summary

Recruitment Solutions (North West) Ltd is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join our client’s established and growing Finance Team. You will own key accounting responsibilities, delivering accurate reporting, analysis and continuous improvement.

You will lead monthly management accounts, budgeting and variance analysis, with involvement in year-end and statutory reporting. Strong Excel and ERP experience (Sage/Xero/SAP) are essential, as is effective communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and eligible to practice.
• Experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Strong knowledge of management accounts, month-end and financial reporting.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with Sage, Xero or SAP.
• Analytical thinker with high attention to detail.
• Good communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join our Client’s well‑established and growing Finance Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of key accounting responsibilities while supporting the wider business with accurate reporting, financial analysis and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Take ownership of the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis activities
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy
• Complete month-end journals, accruals and prepayments
• Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and audit requirements
• Produce financial reports and provide meaningful analysis to support business decisions
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders on financial matters
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting
• Support the wider Finance Team with ad‑hoc analysis and accounting projects
• Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and maintained in line with relevant standards and company procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a commercial environment
• Strong understanding of management accounts, month‑end and financial reporting
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysisStrong Excel skills and experience using accounting/ERP systems such as Sage, Xero or SAP
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicating financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Proactive and commercially minded approach
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A team player who is comfortable taking ownership and working independently
