Job summary

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated QTS Tutor in the Stanley area, to deliver Maths and English tuition to Key Stage 2-4 students who are disengaged from mainstream education. You will teach one-to-one and tailor sessions to re-engage learners.

Applicants should hold QTS or QTLS and have at least six months’ UK school experience. The role offers flexible hours with up to 15 hours per week per student and pay up to £30 per hour.

QTS Tutor - Stanley

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated QTS Tutor in the Stanley area, holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), to deliver Maths and English tuition to Key Stage 2-4 students who are currently disengaged from mainstream education.

As a QTS Tutor, you will be responsible for creating, planning and delivering tailored one-to-one lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education. You will focus on re-engaging students in learning, rebuilding their confidence and supporting their successful reintegration into school. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher looking to step away from the traditional classroom environment and deliver more personalised, engaging lessons.

Many of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, meaning their confidence and motivation may be low. Your role will be to help them reconnect with learning, establish a positive daily routine and develop the skills they need to progress with their education.

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor each pupil's progress and support effective learning throughout the tuition placement.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
