Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Qualified teacher status tutor to support two learners with SEND/SEMH needs. The role starts with a small caseload of two students, delivering Maths and English tuition at home in NG8/NG5, with potential to extend hours or locations as students progress.

The tutor will work 1:1, and in small groups, aligning lessons to each student’s SEN plan and the school scheme of work. Commitment to patience, calmness and a student‑centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status is essential.
• Experience working with children with SEND/SEMH.
• Ability to tutor Maths and English.
• Willingness to follow school schemes of work.

Responsibilities

• Tutor one or two children at home in NG8/NG5, with potential for more locations as needed.
• Teach Maths and English; science support if hours increase.
• Work with the school’s scheme of work where appropriate.
