Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a QTS Tutor to deliver Maths and English tuition to KS2-4 pupils in Bishop Auckland. You will create and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons, aiming to reengage disengaged students and reintegrate them into mainstream schooling.

QTS Tutor

Prospero Teaching is looking for a QTS Tutors holding Qualified Teaching Status to deliver Maths and English tuition to KS2-4 students who are currently disengaged from mainstream education.

As a QTS Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupil's education, whilst focusing on engaging them, helping them reintegrate into school. This opportunity is great for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons.

Most of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, so their confidence levels may be very low. It is your responsibility to reengage them in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine.

Prospero Teaching will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil and support effective learning.
