Job summary

Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a QTS-qualified GCSE Maths Tutor to work with students across Staffordshire who require extra support outside mainstream education.

You will deliver tailored 1:1 tuition, adapt lessons to individual needs, and help learners progress towards GCSE goals. A DBS update and local travel are advantageous, with flexible hours to fit around placements. Start date: September.

Qualifications

• QTS required.
• Minimum 6 months experience in an educational setting (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or learning support).
• Strong GCSE Maths subject knowledge.
• Experience supporting students with SEND/EHCPs or additional needs is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive and flexible approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• A driver is desirable; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire.

About the Opportunity

We're currently looking for a QTS-qualified GCSE Maths Tutor to work with young people across Staffordshire who require additional support outside of mainstream education.

Working alongside Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored 1:1 tuition to students who may be out of education, awaiting placements, or facing barriers that have impacted their learning. Your ability to adapt lessons, build confidence, and create positive learning experiences will play a key role in helping students progress towards their goals.
