Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking a Lead Engineer to accelerate product development of quantum RF systems in the UK. The role owns engineering delivery across the full product lifecycle, translating scientific requirements into coherent engineering designs and executable plans.

You will lead portfolio architecture, drive verification plans, and coordinate hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, optical, and verification activities to ensure robust, producible systems.

Qualifications

• Translate complex R&D into robust engineering deliverables.
• Lead design decisions across hardware, software, and optics.
• Ensure design controls and documentation meet company standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the portfolio engineering architecture and execution plan.
• Translate requirements into engineering specifications and verification plans.
• Lead trade-offs across performance, reliability, cost, and risk.
• Manage domain leads across hardware, software, mechanical, electrical, optical, and systems.
• Ensure design controls, documentation standards, and configuration management.
• Drive integration, testing, verification, and readiness for deployment.
• Collaborate with physics leads to preserve scientific performance.
• Work with project management to manage plans, dependencies, and risks.
• Support portfolio lead in roadmap development and supplier engagement.
• Guide the portfolio through full product lifecycle from prototype to product.
