Job summary

Infleqtion is seeking a Lead Engineer to accelerate product development for our quantum RF systems in the UK. The role owns engineering delivery across the full product lifecycle, translating complex R&D into robust, integrated systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams across hardware, software, mechanical, RF, optics, and verification, ensuring design controls and documentation standards are met, and partnering with project management and physics leads to deliver a market-ready solution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, physics or similar STEM field.
• 10+ years of technical leadership in quantum/advanced hardware sectors.
• Experience turning R&D into robust products.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio engineering architecture and execution plan.
• Translate requirements into engineering design and verification plans.
• Lead trade-offs across performance, reliability, cost, and risk.
• Coordinate hardware, software, mechanical, RF, optical, and verification activities.
• Ensure design controls, documentation standards, and configuration management.
• Drive integration, test, verification, and readiness for deployment.
• Collaborate with physics leads to preserve scientific performance.
• Support roadmap, proposals, supplier engagement, and customer discussions.
• Oversee full product lifecycle from research prototype to engineered system.
