GXO is recruiting for a QHSE Advisor to join our Direct operation in Sherburn-in-Elmet. This full-time, permanent role supports the QHSE Manager in delivering safe, compliant standards across a busy distribution centre.

You will champion best practice, drive a proactive safety culture and work with operational teams to ensure legal compliance while pushing continuous improvement across the business.

Qualificações

• NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety.
• Experience in health & safety, QHSE or compliance in logistics or warehousing.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessments, investigations, audits and H&S legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive and organized with good planning and multi-priority handling.

Responsabilidades

• Review and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work ensuring compliance.
• Lead site audits, inspections, investigations and reporting to improve compliance and performance.

Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a QHSE Advisor to join our GXO Direct operation in Sherburn-in-Elmet. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, where you'll support the QHSE Manager in delivering exceptional health, safety and environmental standards across a busy multi-customer distribution centre.

As part of the site leadership support team, you'll champion best practice, promote a proactive safety culture and work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements while driving continuous improvement across the business.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Support the QHSE Manager in ensuring all health, safety and environmental matters are managed in line with legislation, company policies and industry best practice
• Review, develop and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work, ensuring operational activities are conducted safely and in compliance with legal requirements
• Lead and support site audits, inspections, investigations and reporting activities, identifying opportunities to improve compliance and overall site performance
• Provide coaching, guidance and support to managers and colleagues, helping to develop a strong safety-first culture and improve awareness across the operation
• Analyse QHSE performance data, produce reports for site leadership and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, compliance and operational excellence

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• NEBOSH General Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Health & Safety, with a commitment to continuing professional development
• Previous experience within a health & safety, QHSE or compliance role gained within a logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or operational environment
• Strong understanding of risk assessments, investigations, audits and health & safety legislation, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical operational setting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence, coach and support colleagues at all levels of the business
• A proactive and organised approach, with strong planning skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
