Job Title: QC Scientist

Catalent is seeking a QC Scientist to join our Quality Chemistry team at our Swindon Manufacturing site. This shift-based role involves conducting analysis in support of QC Release, Stability, and in-process Validation, working collaboratively within a team.

Shift Pattern:

4 On / 4 Off, 07:00-19:00

Role Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Finished Product QC release testing using techniques such as Balances, pH meter, UV, Karl Fisher, FT-IR, TLC, Dissolution, and HPLC (including degradation analysis).
2. Generate simple test plans for validation projects.
3. Write stability reports based on protocols and test results.
4. Utilize quality systems like LIMS for entering and verifying results, and Qumas for document printing and creating basic CAPAs.
5. Follow written instructions accurately, aiming for minimal method deviations.
6. Perform analytical testing with consistent data quality and minimal human error.
7. Manage daily tasks with minimal supervision, interpret product tracking sheets, and identify correct specifications and methods.
8. Complete tasks within set timeframes and support team members as needed.
9. Plan workload in conjunction with Senior Scientists and identify out-of-specification or out-of-trend results.

Candidate Requirements:

• BSc or MSc in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Experience with HPLC is highly advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of GMP is desirable.
