Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a QC Microbiology lab support role in the United Kingdom. The role involves writing and updating documents, maintaining stock, and assisting with day-to-day QC activities in a GMP environment.

Ideal candidates have at least A level in science, good Word/Excel skills, and strong organisational abilities. You will work as part of a team, following safety rules, and may be asked to work across different lab areas as needed.

Formación

• No previous laboratory experience required.
• Ideally educated to A level in a Science based subject.
• Good Word and Excel skills.
• Demonstrable organisational skills.
• Able to work to critical timelines.

• Ability to track multiple projects.
• Ability to collaborate to achieve results.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and prioritise day to day workload in line with laboratory requirements.
• Book in laboratory samples and perform second analyst checks.
• Maintain laboratory stock of reagents, media and consumables.
• Order items in liaison with suppliers to drive cost savings.
• Remove expired reagents and consumables from use.
• Carry out equipment checks to ensure availability.
• Assist with cleaning of classified laboratory cleanrooms.
• Be flexible to work in different areas within the lab as required.
• Follow GMP requirements, policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, near misses and breaches of rules promptly.
