Job summary

Stem Recruitment is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Analyst for a permanent position based in Edinburgh. The role involves performing analytical testing across raw materials, in-process samples and final products to safeguard product quality and regulatory compliance.

You will work in a GMP laboratory environment, applying environmental monitoring, bioburden, pH testing and cleanroom surveillance, with opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

  • GMP/GDP knowledge and regulatory understanding.
  • Experience in GMP laboratory environments.
  • Knowledge of QMS, non-conformances, OOS and change controls.
  • Good IT skills with LIMS and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and final products.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate data records and ensure data integrity.
  • Support continuous improvement and documentation in a GMP lab.

Job description

STEM Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Quality Control (QC) Microbiology Analyst for a permanent position based in Edinburgh.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and final products, ensuring compliance with GMP, GDP, and regulatory standards.

To be considered you should have experience in the following:

  • Microbiology experience including environmental monitoring, Bioburden, pH
  • Cleanroom monitoring
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working in GMP laboratory environments
  • Ideally knowledge of QMS, including handling non-conformances, OOS, and change controls
  • Understanding of GMP & GDP, with good IT skills (LIMS, Excel)
  • Fluent English oral and written communication skills
