Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Lead QC Technician to ensure quality through testing and inspection in a cGMP environment. You will work with QC technicians and cross-functional teams to maintain high standards, perform analytical testing, document results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include routine lab procedures, project work, international collaboration, documentation, training, and ensuring GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology or related scientific discipline.
• Experience with instrumental and traditional analytical techniques.
• Experience in GLP/GMP environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Ability to coach others.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory procedures and project work.
• Carry out department projects and international collaborations as required.
• Prepare technical documentation within the department.
• Assist in the development and validation of laboratory procedures.
• Train others as required and assess cleanroom operators.
• Review analytical data for accuracy and compliance with procedures.
• Communicate effectively with onsite and international teams.
• Assist with equipment qualification and cGMP compliance.
• Carry out other tasks as required.
• Monitor equipment status and downtime, escalating issues as needed.
