Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a QC Materials Technician in Glasgow, based at our Technology Terrace site west of Scotland Science Park. You will visually inspect incoming customer samples, record them in the sample management system, and verify that the correct samples have been received before release to testing departments.

Join a small team and contribute to maintaining high quality standards. Full training will be provided; right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouse environment is advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Record received samples in the sample management system and review documentation to confirm correct samples.
• Liaise with couriers to ensure shipments are received correctly and materials dispatched smoothly.
• Arrange disposal of tested samples and maintain backup samples.
• Provide customers with timely updates on dispatch and receipt of their test materials.
• Follow health and safety policies and SOPs in day-to-day activities.
• Manage downloading, interpretation and return of temperature data loggers.

Join our Quality team as a QC Materials Technician and play a key role in performing daily activities related to incoming customer samples.

By visually inspecting incoming shipments of customer samples and ensuring they meet quality standards before release to the testing departments, you will enable our teams to focus on what matters most: better health for more people.

Based at our Technology Terrace site West of Scotland Science Park in Glasgow, you will become part of a team of three dedicated professionals who look forward to shaping the future together with you.

• Record received samples in the sample management system and review customer supplied documentation to confirm that the correct samples have been received
• Liaise with couriers to ensure shipments are received correctly and client materials are dispatched smoothly to customers
• Arrange the appropriate disposal of tested samples and materials that are no longer required, while maintaining backup samples
• Provide customers with timely updates on the dispatch and receipt of their test materials
• Follow all health and safety policies and standard operating procedures, applying them consistently in day-to-day activities
• Manage the downloading, interpretation and return of temperature data loggers for shipments

What Will Convince Us

• Previous experience in a stores or warehouse environment would be advantageous, although not essential as full training will be provided
• A motivated approach to learning and the ability to meet deadlinesStrong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload requirements and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to follow established procedures and quality standards

• Education to Higher level or an equivalent qualification is desirable
