Job summary

SRG are partnering with a multinational chemicals company to recruit a QC Analyst based in Cheshire. You will perform wet chemistry analyses on raw materials and finished products, using HPLC, GC and IC, while recording results in the quality system and reporting findings promptly.

The role requires a degree in Chemistry and proven industrial experience with wet chemistry and analytical instrumentation; there is exposure to hazardous chemicals and a 37.5-hour week with some weekend work and

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemistry analyses on raw materials and finished products (e.g., titrations, pH testing, density testing).
• Use analytical instrumentation including HPLC, GC and IC per provided methodology.
• Record and report data in the quality system and complete documents/spreadsheets.
• Communicate results promptly under direction and priority.
• Carry out analytical investigations to meet research and customer needs.
• Maintain and upkeep of analytical equipment.
• Approve and reject raw materials as required.

Requiring a degree in Chemistry, with proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, GC and/or HPLC in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment. Please note that this position will involve working with hazardous chemicals.

SRG are working with a multinational company who specialise in the creation of speciality chemicals for a range of markets. They are now looking for a QC Analyst to join their analytical team on a permanent basis at their site based in Cheshire. This role will include analysing raw samples and finished products using a range of analytical techniques and instrumentation, along with recording and reporting data accordingly. Candidates who have proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, GC and HPLC are encouraged to apply. Please note that this position will involve working with hazardous chemicals.

Role / Description

• Performing wet chemistry techniques to analyse raw materials and finished products (including titrations, pH testing, density testing and others)
• Using analytical instrumentation for analysis including HPLC, GC and IC through following methodology provided
• Recording and reporting data within the quality system- completing documents and spreadsheets accurately
• Reporting results in a timely fashion under direction and priority
• Performing analytical investigations and tests to meet research and customer needs
• Having responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of analytical equipment
• Approving and rejecting raw materials

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry (or similar)
• Proven industrial experience of wet chemistry analysis, HPLC and/or GC
• Ability to work with hazardous chemicals
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Work well within a small time with good time management and organisational skills
