Job summary

Veranova in the United Kingdom is seeking a qualified QC Analyst to perform laboratory analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products and related samples in accordance with cGMP & GLP.

You will maintain documentation, report deviations, and support training of junior staff while working shifts days/nights. This role requires standing, PPE and safe lab practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in an analytical laboratory role is required.
• Understanding of quality standards and processes is essential.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GLP and ALCOA+ is required.
• Ability to stand, walk and operate lab equipment; wear PPE.
• Willingness to work shifts (days/nights) and handle chemicals under guidelines.

• Report analytical deviations and out of specification results with appropriate rigour and contribute to root cause resolution.
• Maintain routine housekeeping of the laboratory area.
• Ensure cGMP/GLP compliance of documentation, written and electronic.
• Comply with all EHS requirements including safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in EHS and housekeeping audits as requested.
• Assist with training of less experienced QC staff.

This role will require shift work (days/nights)

Role Overview:

Perform the laboratory analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, cleaning verification samples and other miscellaneous samples to the written procedures and SOP’s as required. Sample Raw Materials, finished products and other products as required. Maintain documentation and electronic records according to the requirements of cGMP & GLP.

Core Responsibilities:

• To perform analysis and report results in accordance with cGMP & GLP requirements for laboratory operations.
• Report analytical deviations and out of specification results with appropriate rigour and to contribute to their root cause resolution.
• Perform routine housekeeping of laboratory area.
• Ensure cGMP/GLP compliance of all documentation, written and electronic.
• Comply with all EHS requirements including safety policies and procedures with particular reference to compliance within the QC laboratory.
• Participate in EHS audits and housekeeping audits as requested.
• Ensure safe laboratory operation.
• Assist with the training of less experienced QC staff.
• To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience:

• Degree in Analytical science or equivalent HND/HNC
• Experience in an analytical lab role ideally in fine chemicals or pharma
• Understanding of quality standards and processes
• Knowledge of cGMP, GLP and ALCOA+
• While performing this job you will be required to stand, walk and use hands to operate lab equipment.
• Must wear appropriate PPE
• Work with chemicals under specific guidelines
• Lifting and moving heavy objects
