Job summary

Sigma Recruitment is accepting applications for a QC Administrator role in a UK lab. No degree is required as full training is provided, with flexitime and a Monday–Friday schedule including no weekends.

The role offers 24 days of holiday plus 8 bank holidays and a formal training program from day one. You will support the Quality Control project team, handle sample intake, and manage admin tasks to keep customers informed of results.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on administration experience with a genuine eye for detail.
• Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office 365) and happy to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Book stability and project samples into the QC systems.
• Organise despatch of samples to partner testing laboratories, raising purchase orders and labelling correctly.
• Collect and trend data, create Certificates of Analysis and draft customer quotes.
• Complete and archive records, keeping the lab audit-ready.
• Prepare reagents and run basic sample checks once trained.
• Order consumables and support improvements across the lab.

Your salary, benefits & hours of work

• £27,000 and annual bonus
• Flexitime: start any time between 7:30am and 9:30am, finish between 3:30pm and 5:30pm
• Monday to Friday, no weekends
• Full training from day one
• No weekend or bank holiday working, with a shutdown from Christmas to the New Year.
• Holidays 24 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (increasing with length of service - one extra day for every 5 years to a maximum of 25 years)

What you'll do as the QC Administrator
