Virgin Active is seeking a QA Tester for their Digital & Technology Transformation Team. This role involves testing digital products and services to ensure reliable, high-quality experiences for members.

Technology is central to this evolution. We are transforming our digital platforms and building globally scalable solutions across our mobile applications, backend services, APIs and integrations.

You will test the digital products and services used by our members and teams, helping us deliver reliable, high-quality experiences. Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Designers, you will identify defects, build automated tests and support features from development through to release.

The Role

• Test new features across our mobile applications, APIs, integrations and digital platforms.
• Create and maintain automated tests across UI, API and end‑to‑end journeys.
• Carry out functional, regression and release testing.
• Identify, record and track defects through to resolution.
• Work with engineers to improve test coverage and release quality.
• Investigate test failures, environment issues and release blockers.
• Support test data, test environments and release‑readiness checks.
• Use monitoring and production feedback to identify areas for further testing.
• Contribute to sprint planning, technical discussions and continuous improvement.

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience testing mobile, web or backend applications.
• Hands‑on experience creating and maintaining automated tests.
• Knowledge of UI, API, integration, regression and end‑to‑end testing.
• Experience testing APIs, backend services and third‑party integrations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, defect management and release testing.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical colleagues.

Experience with tools such as WebDriver, BrowserStack, Percy, Allure, New Relic or Sentry would be advantageous, but it is not essential. Experience testing Android and iOS applications would also be beneficial.
